PROMOTER
The promoter of this program is Tourism Central Australia Incorporated (ABN 66 249 885 613), located at PO Box 2227, Alice Springs, NT 0870 (“Promoter”).
ELIGIBILITY
- Applications are open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over who reside outside the Northern Territory.
- Applicants must hold a current Australian driver's licence with a residential address outside the Northern Territory.
- Employees, board members, and contractors of the Promoter, as well as their immediate families, are not eligible to apply.
- Only one application per person, and one application per household, is permitted.
- Applications from Northern Territory postcodes (0800–0999) will not be accepted.
- By applying, participants warrant that they meet the eligibility requirements. The Promoter reserves the right to require proof of eligibility, including a driver's licence.
APPLICATION PERIOD
The Program commences at 12:00am ACST on 5 September 2026 and closes at 11:59pm ACST on 30 September 2026 (“Application Period”). Applications received outside these dates will not be accepted. Applications remain open for the full Application Period regardless of the number received.
HOW TO APPLY
- To apply, participants must complete and submit the official application form available at discovercentralaustralia.com/drive-vouchers during the Application Period, providing all required details.
- Only one application per person is permitted.
- By applying, participants agree to opt in to receive marketing communications from the Promoter. Participants may unsubscribe at any time; opting out does not affect an applicant's eligibility to receive a voucher.
- Applicants must declare that they hold a valid driver's licence with a residential address outside the Northern Territory, and that no other member of their household has applied for or received a voucher through this Program.
VOUCHERS
There are 600 vouchers available in Round 1:
- A $500 voucher towards accommodation at participating caravan parks, wayside inns, campgrounds and roadhouses across the Red Centre and the Barkly – redeemable only through the discovercentralaustralia.com website or the Visitor Information Centres in Central Australia (Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Yulara).Total Prize Pool Value: $300,000.
CONDITIONS OF VOUCHERS
- Vouchers are issued as a unique code by email and are not issued in the applicant's name – the code itself is the voucher.
- Vouchers are non-refundable. If applicant wishes to change their original booking, there will be a $25 fee incurred.
- Round 1 vouchers are valid from 5 October 2026 and must be booked and redeemed by 20 January 2027. Travel using the voucher must be completed by 30 June 2027.
- Vouchers must be redeemed in a single transaction. If the value of a booking is less than $500, any remaining balance is forfeited and cannot be redeemed, refunded, or carried over.
- Accommodation bookings are subject to availability and must be made through the discovercentralaustralia.com website or with Visitor Information Centre staff – not directly with the accommodation operator.
- Vouchers are valid for new bookings only and cannot be applied to existing reservations.
- Vouchers are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- Vouchers are subject to participating operators' conditions of use.
- Applicants are responsible for their own travel to and from the Red Centre to redeem their voucher.
- Extensions beyond the stated validity dates will not be permitted.
VERIFICATION
- The Promoter may conduct eligibility verification, including driver's licence checks, on a random sample of approximately 10–20% of applications prior to issuing vouchers.
- Providing false or misleading information at any stage – including after a voucher has been issued – is grounds for disqualification and forfeiture of the voucher.
ALLOCATION OF VOUCHERS
- After the Application Period closes on 30 September 2026, the Promoter will process and verify applications received.
- Eligible applications are ranked in the order received (first come, first served).
- The first 600 eligible applications, by order received, are allocated a Round 1 voucher. All other eligible applications are placed on a waitlist for potential allocation in Round 2.
- This is not a lottery, competition of chance, or random prize draw – vouchers are not selected at random.
APPLICANT NOTIFICATION
- All applicants will be notified by email by 5 October 2026 – either as a successful Round 1 applicant, or as placed on the waitlist.
WAITLIST AND ROUND 2
- Any Round 1 voucher not booked and redeemed by 20 January 2027, or that is unused, returned, or forfeited (including due to failed verification), will be cancelled.
- Cancelled Round 1 vouchers will be reallocated to eligible applicants on the waitlist, in the order they originally applied. No new applications will be accepted for Round 2 unless there are not enough eligible applicants waitlisted from round 1.
- Waitlisted applicants allocated a Round 2 voucher will be notified by 1 February 2027.
- Round 2 vouchers must be booked and redeemed by 31 May 2027, for travel completed by 30 June 2027. All conditions in the Vouchers and Conditions of Vouchers sections above apply equally to Round 2, including the single-transaction rule and forfeiture of any unused balance.
- Round 2 vouchers not booked by 31 May 2027 will be cancelled.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of applications and disqualify applicants who do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, misdirected, or corrupted applications.
- By applying, participants consent to their name and likeness being used for publicity purposes without compensation.
- The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a voucher (or part of a voucher) of equal or greater value if it becomes unavailable.
- The Promoter may request verification of an applicant's identity, age, residency, and driver's licence.
- Applicants who tamper with the application process, submit multiple applications, provide false information, or otherwise breach these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified.
- Personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy, available at https://www.discovercentralaustralia.com/privacy-policy.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Northern Territory of Australia.
- Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury suffered in connection with this Program or any voucher.
