Located just 85km east of Ayers Rock Resort, Curtin Springs (the first Wayside Inn in Central Australia) offers a perfect base from which to visit the Uluru/ Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon areas. Stay a while and 'peel back the layers' by including our experiences, tours and hospitality in your travel plans.

We offer several different tours and experiences so you can share the wonders of our home and get to know the history, the landscape and our connection to the land.

Description

Curtin Springs has been home to the Severin family since 1956, when Peter Severin arrived with his young wife Dawn, their toddler son Ashley and 1,500 head of cattle.

At Curtin Springs we balance beef production with being a million acre wildlife corridor, and offer many ways for visitors to connect with the spectacular landscape. We invite you to take a 'peek behind the curtain' to explore the wonders of our home.

PAPER MAKING TOURS:

A new and fresh way to experience the Central Australian Desert.

We invite the desert to offer up its hardy ingredients to combine and make something beautiful. Nature is literally transformed, where native grasses are harvested, pulped and pressed to create distinctive and beautiful souvenirs of Central Australia.

The paper is suitable for an endless array of uses ??? the only limit is your imagination.

Morning and Afternoon Tours depart everyday. For groups of 6 or more tours can be on request, make a time that suits you.
