Held annually at the Harts Range Racecourse, set in the majestic East MacDonnell ranges area, is the ‘Harts Range Races’. The NT August Picnic Races Public Holiday stem from this 75-year tradition started at the Harts Range Racecourse, 215km East of Alice Springs on the Plenty Highway. 

Red Centre Campdraft - This event will start on the Tuesday prior to the Races and through until the Friday.

The Program involves 2 full days of activities and fun for all the family, over Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday: Gymkhana, Motorkhana, Rodeo, Stockhorse Races with Fashions on the Field, Novelty Events and Evening Bush Dance.

Sunday: Family Sports events including Running Races, Novelty Races for kids, Ladies Cow Tail Toss and Tug-of-War, Rodeo in Afternoon, Evening Talent Quest and Karaoke.
