Uluru Segway Tours provide guided tours like no other and offer an incredible way to experience World Heritage-listed Uluru.

Their tours allow visitors a chance to learn about Anangu (local Aboriginal) culture and the unique desert environment. The small group nature of the tours, with 1 guide to 10 participants, ensures visitors can connect and engage with their guide, optimising learning opportunities.

This Australian owned business prides itself on contributing to responsible tourism. 2.5% from every tour sold goes to supporting to the local Indigenous Community via the Central Lands Trust. Furthering from this, they Eco Star Accredited and use best practice environmental policies.

Riding a Segway is a fun adventure that allows visitors to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park a chance to see more without breaking a sweat, whilst learning about Uluru.

For non-English speaking visitors Uluru Segway Tours offer a complimentary GPS-triggered audio guide, which is available in Italian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese and Mandarin.

There are several tour options available each day, with most including transportation from Voyages Ayers Rock Resort.

RIDER REQUIREMENTS:

Please be mindful that Segway riding is an adventure activity and as such it is important that all tour participants are Segway suitable. Segway suitable travellers are:

  • Children must be 12 years old. We do not recommend our activity for those aged over 55 years. Travellers over the age of 65 years are strongly discouraged from joining the tour due to increased risk in the event of a fall
  • Children aged 12-17 years old must be accompanied by an adult whilst on tour.
  • Free from serious injury/illness and fit enough to ride a bike
  • Not currently pregnant
  • Weigh between 45-117kg
  • Are aware Segway riding is an adventure activity,
  • Are able to sign a waiver and wear a helmet

TRANSFERS
Many of our tours include a transfer from hotels located within Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. Please check your booking confirmation for pick up information.

SELF DRIVE
Our Uluru By Segway - Self Drive Your Car to Uluru tour allows travellers with their own transport to meet us at the Mutitjulu waterhole car park (also called Kuniya car park). Our meeting location is approximately 25km or a 35 minute drive from hotels within Voyages Ayers Rock Resort.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Our cancellation policy is 24 hours. You are free to amend or cancel with no charge if we have been given more than 24 hours notice. If you cancel or alter your tour within 24 hours of the confirmed tour time no refund will be provided. Refunds will not be provided to passengers who are “no-shows”. Extenuating circumstances requiring tour refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will not be issued once the Segway training has commenced unless an Uluru Segway Tours guide deems any participant to be incapable of riding a Segway Personal Transporter then in such a case a refund may be granted. Gift certificates are not transferable for cash however bookings made using a gift certificate can be rescheduled.

ALTERATION/CANCELLATION BY US:
Uluru Segway Tours reserves the right to cancel or alter tours or activities where necessary due to; operational restrictions weather conditions mechanical defects or any other changes to operational conditions. In such instances participants will be either – offered an alternative activity rescheduled to a suitable time or issued a refund. Other than this participants will have no claim to any additional compensation relating to the cancellation of the activity.

RIDE AGREEMENT:
Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken to prevent accident and injury Uluru Segway Tours will not be responsible for any accident or injury damage or loss and this condition of contract may be pleaded by the operator and owner as a bar to any action proceeding for breech of contract negligence or any other liability sustained such as injury damage or loss.

All participants are required to sign the waiver release and indemnity form prior to engaging in any activities offered by Uluru Segway Tours. The form includes but is not limited to the statements that the participant has read and through signing the form accepts their obligations and engages in the activity at their own risk. Participants under the age of 18 years will require their parent/guardian to sign the forms on their behalf.

RIGHT OF REFUSAL:
Uluru Segway Tours reserves the right to prohibit any participant prior to the start of the tour during the training session or tour itself from participating in the activity if the participant fails to meet the rider requirements. Additionally participants may be removed from the activity if they do not follow directions or instructions issued to them by Uluru Segway Tours staff; in these instances no refund will be given.

PERSONAL ITEMS:
Uluru Segway tours does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of any personal items stored at the site or carried on the participant or Segway PT during Segway activities.
